The Law School's Office of Career Services (OCS) provides students with individualized career planning and advising in order to cultivate constructive, mutually beneficial relationships with alumni and employers.
William & Mary Law School is the home of the Center for Legal and Court Technology (CLCT) and the Courtroom 21 Project. Begun as the Courtroom 21 Project in 1993, CLCT is a joint project of William & Mary Law School and the National Center for State Courts. CLCT's primary external mission is "To improve the world's legal systems through the appropriate use of technology."
The Law School vigorously pursues Jefferson's and Wythe's original intent to educate good citizens and leaders for the public interest.
Opportunities to clerk within the Law community outside of William & Mary
The legal work done by the students provides the basis for an exploration of the profession and the justice system. There is a one-hour classroom meeting per week in addition to office hours. In the classroom time, students discuss readings and their ongoing casework, exploring issues relevant to their client work.
