Dates and Deadlines

First-Year J.D. Applicants

September 1, 2009: William & Mary Law School begins accepting first-year J.D. applications.

February 1, 2010: Credential Assembly Service (LSDAS) registration deadline. Please note that LSDAS recommends that you register with them about six weeks before you plan to apply for law school.

February 15, 2010: Suggested filing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for educational loans and need-based aid for the 2009-10  school year.

March 1, 2010: Application deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed, but your chances of being offered admission may be significantly decreased.

April 1, 2010: Decision letters will be mailed no later than April 1  for first-year applications received by the application deadline. Some students may receive earlier notification as admission decisions are made.


Transfer Applicants

April 1, 2010: William & Mary Law begins accepting transfer applications.

July 1, 2010: Application deadline and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing deadline.

July and August 2010: Decision letters will be mailed.


Visiting Students

April 1, 2010: William & Mary Law begins accepting visiting student applications.

July 1, 2010: Application deadline and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing deadline.

July and August 2010: Decision letters will be mailed.


LL.M. Applicants

September 1, 2009: William & Mary Law begins accepting LL.M. applications.

February 1, 2010: Application deadline.

March 15, 2010: Most decision letters will be mailed by March 15.
